Marjorie Clark's article in 425Business (see link below) presents an interesting concept for future residential development. Prefab homes have certainly come a long way since their original design with tacky fiberglass skirts and plastic pink flamingos in the yard. Prefab today offers high tech, style and contemporary design; you'd never know it was a prefab home. Prefab commercial and residential buildings . . . this is an interesting concept. Maybe the projected savings on design and construction costs and post construction operating and maintenance expenses could help offset rising land costs. Could there be hope for creating more affordable apartment rentals or condo sales prices. This could be something to watch.
